We Thought It Was YOU!!

On December 17th we got a call from someone at CPS..

She said she had a 6 month old little boy who needed a home. He needs a liver transplant :( This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. Your daddy and I do not have the experience to care for a child like this. We are nervous this would be a challenge we could not take on. It makes me sad to have to turn down any child. I feel we did the right thing.

I guess he wasn't you, we are still waiting to meet you sweet little one :)

Yesterday was Christmas Day :) We would of love to have you in our home this year..

We spent time at Nini and Pops house, Yaya and Papa's and Lola and Grandpa Dans. We can't wait till we can spend Christmas with you :)

New Home!

Hi Baby G!

We found a town home today :) in 3 days you will have your very own room. I cant wait to decorate your room! This week is going to be very busy with packing and moving.

Christmas is right around the corner, we wish we could spend it with you. You never know, may we will :) if not, next Christmas will be an amazing one :)

Hi Baby G :)

Dec 1st was your mommys Birthday :) Daddy did awesome this year! We ate crab and shrimp and did a bit of window shopping, it was a nice day.  My favorite Birthday present was this e-mail:

"Hi There! Good news, your case has been approved and sign off and be prepare for the phone call you should receive the license in the next couple days. Take care, Katie"

woohoo!! We are sooo excited! Best Birthday present ever!

and now we wait..... My phone is always handy! I can't wait to get the call.

Bottles Bottles Bottles!!

Dear Baby G,

Black friday just past..i was so proud of myself for snagging an awesome deal on a bottle starter set. Last night I dreamt that you arrived and I was preparing your first bottle at home. I dreamt they had BPA in them!! I was freaking out. When I woke up I checked the bottles. Nowhere on the box did it say BPA free! How could I have overlooked this?!

Long story short..i ran out and bought some BPA free ones, I cant believe I didnt check. :/

Today I also emailed our CPR certificates to Katie :) im hoping she will get it processed monday :) sooo excited to meet you!

Your dad and I finished our CPR, woohoo!!! We will be officially licensed foster/adopt parents :) Finally!!! :) :) love you little one!

It Takes Two, For Us Only One..

Baby G,

I forgot to mention..last week Katie (licensing) came to visit us. She inspected our home and made sure it was a safe enviornment for you. It usually takes two visits for her to approve a home. For us, it only took one time :) We were so prepared, she approved us on the spot. When daddy asked, "When can we have our 2nd visit?" Katie said "This is it!". Woohoo!!! We were so excited!!!

Our house is officially double baby proofed, crib set up, carseat and stroller ready. Daddy even cleaned out the closet, I organized all your supplies and clothes. We are so ready for you :)

I shopped forever for the perfect carseat and stroller for you. After many hours online and visiting many stores I finally brough home a black and red carseat/stroller combo. Here it is! We will use this on all our trips to the zoo, park, fairs, flea markets and one day Disneyland! I even bought a matching diaper bag :)

We are so close to meeting you sweet pea!

Day Before Thanksgiving

Good Morning Baby G,

As Thanksgiving approaches I cant help but be thankful for all the people that helped me get this far. My search to meet you has been long, it will all be over soon. The Pride training really helped prepare your daddy and I to be the best parents for you :) Miss Gwen and Miss Faith are amazing people and have given us tons of knowledge on how to raise you. Your Nini and Pops are so supportive and I know they will continue to help us as you enter our lives.

Speaking of Nini and Pops..Yesterday they had their live scan done so they can care for you if mommy and daddy are away :) Aren't they great?! 

Today is very exciting for us, today we complete are last step before the waiting process. After work your dad and I will attend a CPR training to be completely licensed as a foster/adopt parent for Alameda County :) woohoo!!!!!  After this important step, we will wait for the phone to ring :)

I love you Baby G, I am so thankful that we have come this far to meet you!! It will not be long now ;)

A Place To Sleep..

Dear Baby G,

You have your very own crib and mattress now :) Yesterday, your daddy and I went to Nini and Pops house to watch the 49er game. They won, yeay! 8-1 now :) Nini bought some more cute little clothes for you to wear ;)

After the game we spotted at babiesrus to look for a crib. We found a cute Graco crip that matches your mommy and daddys bed:) Today at lunch I picked up a mattress for you at Target. I am so excited to get home and set it up. You officially have a place to sleep :)

Dear Baby G,

I scrubbed the floor, baseboards and washed the carpet today. I guess I am nesting :) I want everything to be nice and clean before I put your crib in the house. Your dad did his physical today, one of the last steps before we become licensed foster parents. Im so excited, yet a little nervous. I hope we dont have to wait much longer to meet you. I cant wait to hold you :) Your dad and I are shopping for a car seat and crib for you on Sunday. I cant wait to have everything all set up. I love you sweetheart!!

Babies Need Lots Of Things

First Visit Here We Come!

Dear Baby G,

Its amazing how much I can love you already. I do not know if you are a boy or girl, how old you are or if you are even born. My love for you grows stronger every day.

Yesterday I called Katie (our foster/adopt licensing person), she is such a sweet person. I let her know we have finished our PRIDE classes and are still in the game ;) We scheduled for her to come to our home for the first visit. We need atleast two visits before we meet you Baby G. So the games begin..

Happy Halloween Baby G!

Dear Baby G,

Happy Halloween Little One!

So many little cuties out today in their adorable costumes. I wonder what you will dress up as, your first year with us. I have so many ideas, we might need to have a few options :)

Today I have been thinking about all the fun activities we will do on Halloween. Carving pumpkins, making caramel apples, trip to pumpkin patch and of course trick or treating. Can't wait!

You're One Lucky Baby

Dear Baby G,

Last night your dad and I had dinner with your Nini and Pops (Grandma and Grandpa). They are so excited to meet you ;) You are one lucky baby to have them love you, before you even enter their lives.

Your Nini dropped off a box at my work today. The box was filled with diapers, bibs, hats, shampoo, body wash and more! They are just as excited to meet you as your daddy and I.

PRIDE Graduation

Dear Baby G,

I have been thinking of you all day little one. Daddy and I graduated from PRIDE training classes today. Everything we learned will help us be the best parents for you. We are so close to meeting you :)

Happy and excited are what we feel today. After class, we looked at some bigger homes.We want you to have your own bedroom :) your dad seems very concerned about the safety and location. Hopefully we find one good enough for our Baby G :)

Your Dad and I always talked about you, since the day we met. After we married on July 25th, 2009, we offically started waiting for you to enter our lives. August 2010 and April 2011, we thought you were growing in my tummy.  We thought it was you! We figured you just weren't ready to enter the world.
